Pagham eyes new bonanza

WORK is continuing in Pagham to claim a potential £1.4m bonanza.

The money could be available through the new community infrastructure levy to be paid by developers on each home they build.

It is for works required to support the housing. And 25 per cent is promised to the communities which have completed a parish plan.

Pagham has a team of volunteers working on its plan, One of them, Alistair Black, said he believed the levy could be about £14,000 an average house – or £5.6m for 400 homes.

“That’s why Pagham parish are working hard to complete their plan and bag this bonanza of maybe £1.4m.”
