Wood blase was no surprise to any of us...

This clean-up has been terribly organised.

All I've seen in the last month is piles of wood being moved from one beach to another and now moved yet again, with yellow-coated individuals standing around looking fed up.

The sensible thing would have been to use that manpower to load the then mostly undamaged wood into baling machines.

It could then have been removed from the beach in one go and put to a good use.

Instead, what we have now is sharp pieces of wood driven deep into the beach, making it dangerous to use, masses of environmental pollution including damage to the newly laid Tarmac at the Heene entrance to the promenade caused by all the heavy machinery, and, of course, the now worthless wood.

Then on top of all that, we have the bungling Brits image portrayed abroad.

Clearly, whoever is in charge of this clean-up needs to get their act together, or, better still, go back and stack shelves in the supermarket.
