I am shocked to read that local residents will not receive paper refuse and recycling calendars for 2021.

I appreciate that money needs to be saved but think this will actually cost more in time and effort.

It must have cost time and money to design and produce the new labels, instead of using the existing format.

It will also take considerable time to attach on all the bins, some of which will be out of the way in obscure places. Surely it would take far less time to deliver as now via letterboxes.

As well as this there are many residents, some of who will be elderly, who do not have access to the internet, and I feel this system is discriminating against them.

Councillor Dow says that it makes more sense for the environment and council finances, but I believe that this new system will cause a decline in recycling because of the confusion it will cause.

I will watch how it all goes with interest!
