I write with reference to your article on the refurbished clock at Wick Parade in your paper on February 27.

As ever, your newshounds were on the ball and reported the news before we could publish a press release.

Whilst the town council is delighted to have been involved with this project, the financial support of the Wick village traders must also be credited.

The town council cannot do everything alone and it is marvellous to be working with the community and producing tangible results.

On behalf of the local community and the town council, I thank the traders for their help with this.
