We’ll have pool

I read the farcical response by some residents of Littlehampton in relation to the proposed new pool there.

How often do they think they will have a chance, a glimpse even, of a brand, spanking new pool in their community?

Look around you and see that the country is still in a recession and councils are still under the cosh financially.

Arun District Council has said it wants to build a new pool for you – take it, wherever they want it in your community, open your arms and welcome it, otherwise your chance will come and go, and the next generation will blame you for your blindness.

To Arun, I say, give it to Arundel. We need a new indoor pool and we will have it, anyhow, anywhere, anytime!
