Town council has raised bench issue
RYE Town Council has highlighted the condition of Rother District Council’s bench fronting Badger Gate on a number of occasions (Letters, March 30).
The bench is not held together by a piece of cloth.
The repair needed is for one of the concrete legs to be re-set, thereby levelling the seated area.
The town council has recently suggested to Rother District Council that its in-house building maintenance team should be capable of taking this on.
