Summertime fun for all at Hillier Horsham

There will be teddies, tarantulas and Tomfoolery at Hillier Horsham during the summer holidays.

From the first weekend of the summer holidays (Saturday July 23), a teddy bear’s picnic trail will take place at Hillier Horsham on Brighton Road.

Children, teddies and parents can come along to the garden centre any time on any day during the summer holidays and take part in the trail. Just pick up a leaflet, find the teddies and answer the questions!

There will also be entertainment on Wow Wednesdays on every Wednesday in the summer holidays.

WednesdayJuly 30, 11am-4pm: Animazing is back! Following the popularity of the team in February half term, Animazing will be visiting Hillier Horsham with a selection of animals to get up close to including hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, stick insects, turtles, tortoises, lizards, snakes, a pygmy hedgehog, frogs, toads and a parrot!

Wednesday August 6, all day: Free crafting! The Shopfest Craft Den will be offering a selection of items to Decopatch for free. Just turn up and let your imagination go wild! Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Wednesday August 13, 11am and 1pm: Tomfoolery! There are two performances by the lovely Tomfoolery. Come along and watch the utterly hilarious antics of the south east’s foremost children’s entertainer and join in with the magic and the mayhem, ‘Abracadabra! Beans on Toast!’

Wednesday August 20, 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm: Little Growers gardening club! Come along for the summer holiday version of the very popular gardening club. Learn about bugs and beasties, make a selection of bug hotels and plant up a funny pot, just £4 per child. Numbers are limited, book to avoid disappointment by calling the store on 01403 210113.

Wednesday August 27, 11am-4pm: Animazing returns to cheer you up before school starts. A different selection of animals will be visiting Hillier Horsham, with plenty of opportunity for you to get close, take photos and have a few stories to tell for when you go back to school.

With a great café on site and a selection of concession stores to visit, as well as plenty of free parking spaces and baby changing facilities, that’s a few more days of the summer holidays ticked off!
