Lib Dem Nick Perry backs AV reform

Since you kindly published a letter of mine in the paper a couple of weeks ago about the forthcoming referendum on voting reform, I have been reminded by various people that Ed Miliband MP, the leader of the Labour Party, is one of the key backers of the Yes! to Fairer Votes campaign.

That is, of course, absolutely true. And I am very glad about it indeed.

I hope that local Labour will be following where Mr Miliband leads and that Labour-inclined voters across 1066 Country will be flocking to the ballot box to vote Yes.

There are plenty of good reasons to back reform. Not least that AV will provide a pretty reliable mechanism for ensuring that there is no longer a Conservative MP for Hastings and Rye after the next general election.
