10 local Primary took part and Nigel Waite, previous owner of Newbridge Nurseries led the judging.

Schools were invited to integrate the project into school lessons and were judged not only on the garden, but also imaginative interpretation with links to literacy, maths and science. Lots of great ideas were on display with diaries of the growing beanstalk, descriptions of the imaginary world at the top of the beanstalk.

Shipley CE Primary School incorporated their own dance into their presentation for the judges, whilst St Mary’s CE Primary School in Pulborough performed their very own song about Jack and The Beanstalk. In terms of garden layout the judges were very impressed with Loxwood Primary School.
