High standard of hospital treatment

I HAVE read in the papers about the inadequate treatment in our hospitals, and would like to add a few words about the treatment I received in Worthing Hospital.

I was admitted in extreme pain, and following tests and x-rays a perforated bowel was discovered and an operation ensued and was skilfully carried out.

My recovery was slow, but again, thanks to the care of the consultant and his team and ancillary staff, could not have been better.

The follow-up was also excellent.

The food on the whole was very good '“ the menus had a good selection and were very tasty.

It was not a short stay.

I was in hospital from February 12 to April 4.

The only point I would make is that there didn't seem enough staff to the number of patients who were there at the time, leading to delays to the assistance required '“ the only complaint.
