Hide AdOne idea which has considerable support is that, following the example of other villages, we should reduce the use of plastic bags in Rustington. Many alternative shopping bags are now available, including "bags for life".
We have written to all traders in Rustington seeking their co-operation.
We would also welcome anyone else who would like to work with us in taking this project forward, as just one small part of enabling our community to take seriously its responsibility to "go green".
Anyone who is interested in helping should contact us on 01903 859729.
