I am writing in response to Aidan Thorne’s letter (Gazette, June 26) regarding traffic management issues in Angmering.

I can assure residents that I have been working hard to persuade the county council to find an acceptable solution to the majority of residents, as there are differing opinions as to the best solutions.

You will be pleased to learn of my success and that following the county council’s approval to implement a traffic management scheme for Angmering last year, contractors and design engineers were in the village a couple of weeks ago, measuring up to prepare options for the parish council.

Once agreement has been reached with the parish council, the proposals will then go out to public consultation prior to implementation.
