Disabled don’t sponge off state

I wish people would not paint everyone that holds a blue badge with the same brush.

In answer to Louise Adams letter in the January 6 issue I would like to put the record straight.

1. I have a blue badge because I suffer with emphysema and it is hard for me to breathe after only a short walk.

2. I have a car for which I pay the tax and insurance also MOT and servicing. Without the car I would be house-bound.

3. Not everyone that has a blue badge sponges off the government.

So, please, Miss Adams get your facts right before you make wild statements about people you know nothing about.
