Christ’s Hospital a singing success
It was such an amazing achievement for the CH Choir to be awarded third place in this renowned competition which included choirs from across the UK and to perform their well-rehearsed Blue Moon, Carol of the Bells and I’m a Train, after which the hall exploded into a rapture of applause.
Andrew Cleary, Director of Music at the School said: “There was a buzz of excitement in the auditorium as the panel of distinctive judges, chaired by Douglas Coombes MBE composer, deliberated the results. The top three senior choirs were very close indeed. The competition was a brilliant experience and I am extremely proud of our Schola Cantorum.”

Having just competed at the Barbican, Schola recently performed in February at the School’s showcase concert at St John’s, Smith Square and this week they sung at a Church Service in the City of London, the School’s original home.
