Brooklands Pleasure Park in '˜terrible state'

As a grandparent, who regularly looks after up to five grandchildren, I have to agree will Cllr Bob Smytherman concerning the terrible state of Brooklands.

The last time we visited, only one of the advertised attractions was fully open and another closed as we arrived at 2pm.

Several areas were closed off with unsightly fencing including a very dilapidated paddling pool.

Indeed the whole area did not so much resemble a seaside play area in the off season, but one in the aftermath of nuclear war.

Those responsible for this terrible advert for our town should resign immediately.
