Just A Minute - June 20

I HAVE just returned from our church weekend away when we had the theme of 'hands'. Breaking the routine of life can be most stimulating and relaxing in a different environment with friends.

Life can sometimes be a rush and I often think of the words of W. H. Davies "What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare".

We live in God's wonderful world and times of reflection are vital - Jesus himself often went to a quiet place to commune with His Father - to gain strength and understand His calling - and so should we not do the same? Prayer is the vehicle that we often use and it is true to say that 'seven days without prayer makes one weak'.

May we make time for moments when we can enjoy the peace and joy of God's wonderful creation - and listen to his voice.
