It is now only 2 months until a major Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair will be held in Bexhill at the De La Warr Pavilion on 29 April from 10 am '“ 3 pm. The Chamber is very excited about our town hosting such an important event. The list of exhibitors is extensive and increasing all the time. There are a wide range of businesses coming along with real job opportunities, apprenticeships, training opportunities, work placements and volunteer work places. Would you like to take part as an exhibitor or come along as a visitor?

This Fair is so exciting because every exhibitor must have a position available on the day.

There will also be the chance for visitors to engage with employers in an informal setting organised by the Creative Café. It will be an opportunity for employers to give the delegates an insight into positions available in their companies, as well as delegates to introduce themselves and demonstrate that they may be the ideal candidate for the position.

The jobs fair will also inspire those who are still unsure about their future path. They will see that there are an incredible range of interesting businesses based in the local area.

Marshall Tufflex, Torr Scientific and Natwest are just a few of the local companies exhibiting on the day. Marshall-Tufflex manufactures and supplies top quality cable management systems for a global market. Torr Scientific is a high-tech manufacturing company specialising in UHV (ultra high vacuum), optical and x-ray components. 40% of their products are exported around the world. Jobs become available in all areas of business operations within these companies.

The jobs fair is also about helping employers. Many need new recruits and want to source them locally and help retain them for the future growth and regeneration of the town. This is really key to the ongoing strategy of the Chamber.
