North Bersted parish calls for speed camera

They have written to the police to request the road be placed on the list of sites for the equipment to be used.

Police community support officer Bill Prior informed them the camera, and an officer, were available for roads considered to be speeding hotspots.

He said: "I get a lot of complaints about cars speeding down there.

"The police officer with the camera would take names and numbers and issue tickets to motorists."

Barrack Lane in Aldwick and Middleton Road, Middleton, had already been put forward as sites for the new camera, he said.
