It is a joint project between the Bexhill Observer and the Bexhill Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.

The awards are being supported by the United Arab Emirates Technical Training Project and Redrow Homes.

Both are providing sponsorship to enable the awards to be held, and also to ensure a large donation is made to local charities.

This is how the event will work:

- We are hoping to attract around 250 people on the night.

- Tickets must be purchased in advance, 100 per table of ten, or 10 per head. Email [email protected], tickets are bound to sell fast.

TO maximise the amount we can give local charities, we have decided to seek sponsors for the 14 categories.

Immediate interest has been good, and already we have secured Bexhill College, Gaby Hardwicke and the Sackville.

That means we are looking for 11 more sponsors - and we can guarantee that all of the 350 pledged will go direct to the chosen charities. So if your company wants to be a sponsor, call Peter Lindsey on 856790 or Joan Harding on 856760.
