Nick's pedalling to Paris for the Legion

NICK Moore, of Uckfield, will be joining 230 cyclists to ride the 440km from London to Paris as part of the Royal British Legion's Pedal to Paris charity event on September 7.

The four-day ride takes cyclists through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes of Northern France. The pice de resistance is the ride up the Champs-Elyses to the Arc de Triomphe where a ceremony will be held at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier to mark the end of the journey.

Mr Moore is a dedicated cyclist who rides five to six times a week. He said: 'I will be joining my friends in Team Cobra who took part in the ride last year. When they told me about it I thought it sounded too good to miss!

Nick hopes to raise at least 500 towards the Legion's welfare work which covers a range of services including grants to those in need, pensions and benefits advice, counselling and job retraining, home and hospital visits and the provision of full nursing care.
