New changes to train timetables

Southeastern’s new train timetable will commence this Sunday (8 December). The new timetable includes minor changes to improve connection times and punctuality.

Alison Nolan, a spokesperson for Southeastern said: “We’ve listened carefully to our passengers and sought to make changes that will improve connection times and provide additional services above what we’re able to offer today.

“The bulk of the changes apply to the Sunday service and we’ll be running a couple of additional services including some later trains home in the evenings.

“We encourage all our passengers to check for changes to their train times by picking up a new timetable from our stations, from our website or National Rail Enquiries.”

Southeastern is also reminding passengers to plan ahead if travelling over the Christmas and New Year period as Network Rail’s engineering works will mean an amended service. This includes:

An early shut-down of the network on Christmas Eve with last Kent bound trains out of London terminals departing at around 19:30-20:00 depending on destination

No services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day except for a special half-hourly high speed service between Ashford International and St Pancras International on Boxing Day. The Boxing Day service will also include free car parking at Ashford and Ebbsfleet

Extra late night trains will be running on New Years Eve

Timetables are now available from all manned stations or from the Southeastern website: (www.southeasternrailway.co.uk).
