MP worried over dialysis treatment

LEWES MP Norman Baker has spoken out about the state of dialysis facilities in the constituency.

At present the nearest dialysis centres for Lewes residents are at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Bexhill Hospital and Worthing Hospital.

Mr Baker said: 'I find the limited availability of dialysis facilities locally to be a cause of some concern. Although there are facilities at the Royal Sussex Hospital, one has to question whether or not they will be able to keep up with the rise in demand for dialysis that experts predict will happen in the coming years.'
