MP calls on Lancing residents to join hospitals fight

PEOPLE in Lancing are being urged to join the battle to save Worthing and Southlands Hospitals by the local MP.

Worthing and Southlands Hospitals NHS Trust faces major cuts in services and even the prospect of closure after it emerged that health services in West Sussex are 35million in the red.

East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton said: "Everyone in Lancing is affected if there are cuts to services. We just need to be careful that the focus is not on Worthing, because of the risk to Worthing Hospital, and Adur, because of the risk to Southlands Hospital.

"If the campaign is going to influence, then it needs to be everyone uniting to fight this attack by the strategic health authority on our local health services."
