West Hill and District Community Association Secretary Mary Phillips explained: “The West Hill Community Centre is in a beautiful spot in the heart of the West Hill, on the junction of Bembrook Road and Croft Road.

Local people have managed to keep the Centre running since it opened in 1974 and it offers a fantastic space for functions with a well stocked kitchen, chairs, tables, Wi Fi, parking and capacity for 80.

Unfortunately, this year we have not had enough volunteers to hold our own Community events but a diversity of groups use the Centre as a venue .

“We have art, dance, drama, meditation, kids activities, and the 1066 Model Flying Club.

Our Annual General Meeting is to be held at 7pm on Thursday March 24 at the Centre with complimentary refreshments by ‘Eat @.

“It is crucial that we are able to elect officers to the West Hill and District Community Association and to recruit more volunteers at this meeting.
