‘Miracle’ as Littlehampton man survives horrific ladder fall

THE wife of a Littlehampton man who was critically injured when he fell more than 12ft from a ladder has thanked staff and surgeons at Worthing Hospital for saving his life.

Loreta Stojanowski, owner of the Vardar VIP Club and Restaurant, in Selborne Road, has praised the “incredible and extraordinary” efforts of all the team who worked tirelessly to keep Peter alive after his fall, earlier this month.

Peter, 62, was rushed to hospital having broken his thigh, pelvis, cheek bone, nose, skull and bones in his hand and elbow in the fall. He was also suffering from severe internal bleeding.

Loreta said Peter was in surgery for around eight-and-half-hours and had metal plates fixed to his skull, elbow, thigh and hand.

Speaking to the Gazette, she said: “Honest to God, the work they did was incredible.

“They said that it was a miracle Peter had survived. He could have easily have died.

“The work by the NHS, Worthing Hospital, nurses, doctors – everybody – has saved my husband’s life.
