Michael has been with the town council since 2002 and became mayor for the first time in 2012.

He moved to Arundel 24 years ago when a hi-fi company he owned was taken over by Worthing loudspeaker firm B & W. Seven years later, Michael set up his own business supplying computer spares.

Michael and his wife Poppy now live at Ford, but remain fully involved in Arundel life.

During his time with the town council, Cllr Tu played a part in helping to save Arundel’s treasured Lido from closing, more than a decade ago.

Angela also sits on the town council.

However, she is better known for her booming shouts as Arundel’s town crier.

She was the first woman to take on the traditional role in the 350 years that Arundel has had a town crier.

She became the crier in 2006.

Originally from Barnoldswick, Lancashire, Angela moved to Arundel in 1993 where she worked for the then Lord and Lady Arundel as nanny to their children.

Angela lives just outside Arundel, in Warningcamp, with her husband Colin.
