Meeting to discuss Bognor's future is successful

AN INITIAL meeting to discuss the future of Bognor Regis was a success.

A total of 38 members of the public and councillors turned up to the discuss the start of the neighbourhood plan.

The session was a chance for all to share their views about the proposals for the plan, which will help to shape development in the town’s four wards. They also had the chance to sign up for focus groups, which will feed information into the plan.

These groups will cover planning and housing; economy and business; regeneration; infrastructure provision; roads and transport; greenspace and leisure and the seafront and beaches.

The town council, which held Monday’s meeting, has organised four open days around Bognor to enable as many people as possible to give their views.

The initial open day took place on Tuesday at Bognor Regis FC in Nyewood Lane. It will be followed by one on June 28 at Bognor Regis Youth and Community Centre in Westloats Lane.

The final two open days will be held on July 2, at the town hall in Clarence Road and on July 5 at St. Wilfrids Church Hall in Ellasdale Road. They will all take place from 2pm-4pm and from 5pm-7pm.
