Mayor ends up in the stocks
RYE Mayor Shaun Rogers found himself in the stocks outside the Ypres Castle Inn over the bank holiday weekend.
He braved being pelted with wet sponges to help raise £140 toward the restoration of the Ypres Tower.
Ypres Castle Inn landlord John Laurie said: “We were absolutely delighted when Shaun agreed to be put in the stocks.”
