Man robbed for £5 in St Leonards

A hooded thug with a knife robbed a man for just five pounds.

The 34-year-old victim was confronted by a robber in Ironlatch Avenue, St Leonards, between 7.10pm and 7.20pm on Thursday (March 10) and forced to hand over a five pound note.

The incident took place as the victim, who was unhurt, was walking to a foreign language lesson.

The suspect was carrying a penknife and alluded to this to put the victim in fear of his safety, though did not directly threaten him with it.

The suspect is described as white, aged 16 to 17, 5’ 8”, slim and had dark hair. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a grey hooded top at the time of the offence.
