Man "punched and kicked repeatedly" during East Preston robbery

A MAN suffered facial injuries when he was beaten and robbed near Angmering railway station on Tuesday evening (May 26).

He went to the station at about 9.45pm, but when he arrived he saw a man he knew on the opposite, westbound platform, under the footbridge, and walked across to him, meeting at the entrance to the platform, opposite the Coach House pub, by which time another man had joined them.

All three started walking along Worthing Road, East Preston, but as they neared the ICIS building, the men he had met attacked the victim.

He was punched and kicked repeatedly, and a quantity of cash was stolen. He was taken to Worthing Hospital.

The first man is described as white 6ft and stocky with short brown hair and wearing a hooded tracksuit. The other was about 6ft 2in tall, slim with short hair and wearing a light top and jeans. The victim had a silver mountain bike with him
