Man charged with spate of burglaries across West Sussex

A MAN has been charged with 17 burglaries in West Sussex, including addresses in Worthing, Lancing and Littlehampton.

Lukasz Ksiezopolski, 27, unemployed and of no fixed address, appeared in custody at Worthing Magistrates Court on July 12, charged with burglaries at: Ellasdale Road, Bognor in October, 2011, and in Silverston Avenue, Richmond Avenue, Devonshire Road, and Crescenta Walk in Bognor and Old Salts Farm Road, Lancing, in December 2011.

Further charges are for burglaries in Norfolk Square and Annandale Avenue in Bognor, The Drive and Monks Avenue in Lancing and The Darlingtons in Littlehampton, all from January 2012, and burglaries in Lavinia Way and Highdown Drive, Littlehampton, Meadow Way, Worthing, Brooks Lane, Bosham and Hawthorn Road and Murina Avenue, Bognor Regis in February 2012.

Ksiezopolski was remanded in custody to appear at Chichester Crown Court on August 9 for a plea and case management hearing.

The charges follow a lengthy enquiry by police officers from the West Sussex Priority Crime Team.
