Man assaulted in Littlehampton

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 41-year-old man was assaulted in Littlehampton.

Officers were called to New Road at 7pm, on Thursday, December 22, after a report that a man was lying in the street having been assaulted.

Witnesses have described three men police would like to trace in relation to the incident. All three men were white, one was described as fat with a full beard, the other two skinny. They all had short hair.

The victim is from Littlehampton.

A police spokesman said: “We are keen to trace the three men seen to approach the man as he walked in the town. Anyone who witnessed an assault or who may recognise these men are asked to contact detectives on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11, quoting serial 1492 of 22 December.”
