Littlehampton hotel rated tenth best in South East

A guest house in Littlehampton has been rated among the top ten hotels across the South East of England.

Regency Rooms is one of 20 places in the region to receive a Top Hotel Award from accommodation search website trivago.co.uk

The Littlehampton hotel, located in South Terrace opposite the boating lake and the beach, came tenth on the list, having gained an average rating of 94.33 per cent from guest reviews.

Regency Rooms was also the cheapest place to stay on the entire list, with an average room rate of £70 per night.

Brighton boasts the highest number of hotels on the newly published list, with four of the top five all from the city, and 11 on the list in total.

However Raymond Blanc’s hotel the Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, based in Oxford, came out on top with a 96 per cent average rating.

Denise Bartlett from Trivago said: “With its hard working staff and mission of excellence, it is easy to see why luxury country house hotel, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, is our top-rated hotel this year.

“It is interesting to note, however, the high number of B&Bs in the top 20 hotels in the South East.

“With B&Bs averaging £70 per night rated as highly as hotels averaging over £700 per night, it seems users are satisfied by the family-run environment and friendly service offered by B&Bs.”

Regency Rooms offers free WiFi to all its guests, describes its decor as ‘chic contemporary’ and offers self check-in.

It has won a number of other user-rated awards, including the Certificate of Excellence on Tripadvisor three years running.
