Littlehampton holiday club under starter’s orders

CHILDREN are being invited to step up for the challenge of a summer holidays playscheme with an Olympics theme.

Parkside Church, in St Flora’s Road, Littlehampton, has called its annual holiday week “On Your Marks”, and all children aged five to 11 are welcome, although places do need to be booked in advance.

The club runs from Monday, July 30, to Sunday, August 5. On the weekdays, from 10am–noon, there will be an action-packed programme, including games, crafts, refreshments and Bible stories.

On the Wednesday evening, all the family will be welcome at an “On your Marks” quiz evening from 6.30-8pm. On Saturday, August 4, children and their families are invited to a family barbecue at the church from 4.30-6.30pm. And on Sunday, August 5, just like the Olympics, there will be the closing ceremony, with the presentation of awards, at 10.30am.
