Lifeboat called to woman in difficulty
Littlehampton RNLI responded to a call to a woman in difficulty, just west of Butlin's in Bognor.
A member of the public reported the incident on September 24 and said the woman in the sea, who was reported to have suffered from a medical condition, required urgent assistance.
The RNLI crew set off at 11.50am and on route were told by the coastguard the woman was safe on the beach and an ambulance had come to collect her.
The lifeboat stood down and returned to the station, in Fishermans Quay at 12.10pm.
