Tomorrow,Saturday 2 August, it’s Icklesham Fete and Flower Show starting at 1pm on the Recreation Ground with the Flower Show in the Memorial Hall.The Wealden Brass will be playing and lots to do including BBQ,Bowling,Putting,Archery and Classic Cars. In the Hall there will be all the exhibits,Dahlias,Roses,Sweet Peas,Floral Art,Pot Plants and Cookery. Refreshments and tombola in the Hall. Outside among the stalls there will be one for cakes and one selling anything which could be called “Bitz and Pieces” There’s a grand Raffle with cash prizes of £100,£50 and £25 plus many other prizes. The Draw will be on the day. It’ a big Icklesham event raising funds for the Hall and the Pavilion.

A fun dog show will take place during the afternoon. The Ridge Fire Station are sending an engine.

Welcome back Pett Level Rescue Boat.

Brian Pitt has organised some classic cars but if you have an interesting vehicle or know someone who has one , please bring it along and there’s all the talent from Rye Dance.

If you’re visiting our lovely area why not come to our fete and enjoy the atmosphere - there’s no entry charge and there is free parking. The Recreation Ground is on the south side of The A259 on the Rye side of the village or just past the traffic lights if you are coming from Hastings.

Tuesday 5 August on the Recreation Ground between 6 and 8S treet Games have organised games ad activities for kids No charge . It’s backed by Icklesham Parish Council. Everybody is wlcome. It was a great success last year. It’s on every Tuesday in August.

Icklesham Casuals are training on Wednesday evenings on the Recreation Ground for the 2014/2015 Season starting at 6.15. If you are over 16 and would like to play on Saturday in local league football just go along and get involved.

The most recent draw in the New Pavilion Lottery took place at the Football Club A.G.M. Winners - 1st £40 Eddie Croft. 2nd £20 Kenny Cranage. 3rd £15 Brenda Watson. 4th £10 Frances Read 5th £5 Rob Wren. The July draw will take place at the Fete.
