Hundreds voice fears over plan for thousands of new homes on fields

HUNDREDS of Crawley Downs residents turned out to voice their concerns over plans for 2,500 homes in the area.

The housing is set to be built on fields stretching to East Grinstead and people were furious when Mid Sussex District Council refused to hold a consultation exhibition about the core strategy plans in the village.

The residents' association organised its own exhibition at the Haven Centre to show the implications and MP for Horsham, Francis Maude attended.
