It has to involve more than planting some flowers if the town is to do well in the South and South East in Bloom contest.

The launch night '“ from 6.30pm at the Regis Centre '“ will comprise a short talk from the Bognor in Bloom working party chairman, Jason Passingham, followed by the chance for those attending to meet organisations helping the campaign.

They range from Marks and Spencer with its fleeces made from recycled bottles to Arun District Council's recycling department and civic planting company Waterers Landscape.

Mr Passingham, a Bognor town councillor, said: "It will be an interesting evening, with lots to come and see."
