Governors get awards

GOVERNORS from two outstanding Bexhill schools - Glyne Gap and St Richard's - have been among those honoured for their dedication and hard work by the county council.

At a special ceremony, senior members of East Sussex County Council's children's services department gathered at Pilgrim Hall near Uckfield to offer their congratulations to the county's top school governing bodies who achieved the Ofsted Grade 1 (Outstanding) this year.

The celebration event took the form of a special summer's tea party and was arranged by the CfBT Education Trust, which works with East Sussex County Council to provide the council's School Improvement Service.
