Steve Tollett, from Rye Harbour Lifeboat, said: “The fundraising team will be providing soup and refreshments on the day, so why not come and join us.

“SOS Day is all about having fun and raising funds. Supporting SOS Day this January will help keep the RNLI’s lifeboat crews trained and equipped for the year ahead.

“ What a great way to really brightening up this otherwise dull month.”

The ride may have to be cancelled in the event of bad weather but people can check from Saturday onwards by checking the website at www.ryeharbourlifeboat.co.uk.
