The children were asked to go into school dressed in red, white and blue, and to have a special ‘red, white and blue’ thing in their lunchbox.

Head teacher Laura Brockhurst said: “What a great community spirit we had in our wonderful atrium yesterday, to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

“We decorated the atrium with bunting for the occasion and the children sang a warm hearted Happy Birthday to the Queen at the end of their special celebratory lunch.”
