Funds trickle in to primary school appeal

Pupils at St Peter and St Paul C of E Primary School have kept a steady flow of cash coming in for their WaterAid appeal.

The school recently teamed up with Bexhill Lions Club to raise awareness about the lack of clean drinking water in less developed countries.

A town centre fund raiser made 264.

A further 381 has now been collected by the children themselves - Nestle Waters UK donated 500 bottles of 'Buxton' water which children took home, drank, then filled with coins. A school concert also raised 82.

A grand total of 750 has been donated to WaterAid as a result.

Bexhill Lion David Burstow said: "The support of the school teachers, children and parents, Bexhill shoppers, and Nestle Waters, has been very positive, and we are pleased with the money we are able to donate to WaterAid '“ a charity we've supported for over 14 years".
