Friends' gift to seafront gardens
About 5ft long, the metalwork has been made possible thanks to the Friends of the gardens.
They donated more than 440 and site owner Arun District Council arranged for the railings to be galvanised to become weather resistant.

Hide AdThis is the first of many improvements which the Friends want to see in the seafront spot following the group's formation last year.
Chairman David Garforth said: 'We are really pleased with the new railings and are very much looking forward to the next project.'
The Friends would be applying for grant aid to fund more projects, he pledged.
Arun senior community parks officer Carrie Marples said: 'I am looking forward to working with the group on future projects to ensure that the park continues to improve.'

Hide AdThe popular gardens achieved a silver gilt award in the best park category of the 2007 South East in Bloom competition. Gold status for next year is within reach.
