Firefighters to hold road safety day on Abbey Green
BATTLE firefighters will host a road safety event on the Abbey Green on Saturday June 14.
The event, aimed to coincide with both the CFOA Road Safety Week (June 9-15) and Bike Week (June 14-22) will educate and inform people of road safety issues.
There will be demonstrations from firefighters, the seatbelt sled will be on the Green and independent bike dealer Handsome Bicycles, based in Hastings, will be offering bike checks on the day.
Firefighting appliances will be used to help educate both cyclists and drivers about the hazard of blind spots.
