Fancy dress walk supports Stonepillow

The format of the walk had changed since last year, and the fundraising team were invited to have lunch en route at St Giles Church at Graffham, as Stonepillow is a very significant charity for the Rev Michael Barter, the vicar at Graffham.

After lunch, the walk then continued on to the South Downs for a couple of miles before dropping down to the village of Charlton.

There, the fundraising team was hosted by former student and new owner of the Woodstock Suites, Declan Thompson, for tea and coffee.

More than 40 people took part in the fundraising walk.

Seaford College housemaster Matthew Pitteway introduced the concept of a charity walk when he arrived at the school.

He intended for it to be 
an event that anyone could take part in to unite the 
house in raising money for good causes.

Stonepillow was picked by the students as a local charity that provides support and assistance for those living rough in the local communities.

The event has so far raised more than £650, and it is hoped that more will follow through several other fundraising events planned for the college’s term.
