Excellent art on show at Bognor Regis Art Society meeting

THE BOGNOR Regis Art Society annual meeting last weekend was well-attended by members.

Cups were presented to artists for their paintings chosen at the flagship event at the Royal Norfolk in July. Best in show was won by Eric Bobby for his unusual depiction of Arundel Castle with storm clouds brewing and flashes of sunshine through the grey skies.

Other winners were Ann Ewings, Laurie Carless, Frank Garner, Lisa Robinson, Irene Wood and June Walters.

The popularity of the art society continues to grow each year, with ever-increasing members and a waiting list.

Not only are the artists producing excellent artwork, but a lot of fun and companionship has evolved by regular meetings.

Plans are now afoot for the Arundel autumn exhibition at the Norfolk Centre on October 10 and 11.
