Dinosaur Island Adventure Park was partially opened in the May half term, but the park will be welcomed with a dinosaur fun day this weekend.

The Southwater Infants Academy school choir will perform dinosaur themed songs, a firework display by Aurora Fireworks, live music, a skate jam at the skate park, arts, crafts and more will be available.

Horsham District Council cabinet member for leisure and culture Jonathan Chowen said: “I am delighted that the council’s exciting plans for the dinosaur adventure play area have now come to fruition and the play area is ready for children to enjoy over their summer holidays.

“The new play area caters for disabled visitors and aims to provide inclusive play for all ages and abilities. I would encourage as many of you as possible to put on your dinosaur costumes, come along to the celebration fun day and enjoy all the entertainments and benefits of this unique park.”

Horsham District Council says that, working in conjunction with Southwater Parish Council and West Sussex County Council, it has also improved car parking arrangements in and around the country park area, however visitors should note that for the fun day, parking will be limited so if possible, it would be better to walk or cycle.
