Design statement official
A document which represents the voice of the people of Pagham has been formally adopted.
The parish's village design statement was given official status by Arun District Council.
The statement sets out the character of Pagham and says what development residents would like to see and the changes they would find acceptable. The statement will be considered by Arun District Council when it decides planning applications but it has no legal force.
Cllr Ricky Bower, Arun's councillor in charge of planning, said: 'It's important we identify the character of each area of the district and seek to maintain it.'
