Officers were called to the address after a report of a disturbance and were going to issue a fixed penalty notice to a man for breaching the Covid-19 legislation, police said.

A spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man from East Worthing was arrested for committing a breach of a peace and assaulting on an emergency services worker. He was later released under investigation."
