Suspended sentence over drug possession
Alexis Beckett, 31, of Amundsen Road, Horsham, was sentenced at Hove Trial Centre on Friday. She had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, and one of possessing Class C drugs with intent to supply.
Prosecutor David Forsyth said the drugs, with a total street value estimated at £850, were seized in a police raid on her home in March last year.

Adam James, defending, said it had been his client’s first experience of custody, but had allowed her to get completely free of drugs for the first time in a long while.
Judge Guy Anthony gave her a 21 month sentence, suspended for two years, with a nine month drug rehabilitation order, a 15 month supervision order, and 150 hours of unpaid work. He added that jail was ‘almost certain’ if she breached the order.
